Switching from SVN and Google Code to Git and GitHub

    I'm leaving SVN for Git because:

    • Git is faster
    • Git allows offline commits
    • Git lets me keep a local copy of the complete history
    • Git doesn't create hidden directories everywhere
    • GitHub has a better web interface with pretty graphs
    • It's the cool thing to do



    I didn't import the SVN history (easier that way) so it's a completely fresh start.
